The Native Plant Society of Texas selected Judy Walther and David Mahler to receive the 2021 Charles Leonard Weddle Memorial Award. The award commemorates a lifetime of achievement in the field of native plants of Texas.

Judy and David have both been working in Central Texas since 1984 to conserve and restore our natural heritage, and educate people of Texas about the ecological benefit and importance of land stewardship and native plants.  Since the inception of Environmental Survey Consulting, Judy and David have provided ecological services for commercial, civic and private clients.  Their work continues to be a benefit to wildlife, botanical diversity and water quality in Central Texas.  Check out the awards ceremony below to learn more about Judy, David (at 1:46:50) and others working to improve the ecological health of our area.
