ESC’s wet pond planting design, installation and maintenance work at the Central Park Pond in north central Austin serves as both an attractive landscape feature and important green stromwater infrastructure. As wet ponds are not native to the Central Texas region, ESC Ecological Restoration Specialists modeled the planting design on East Texas ponds. The edge plants were chosen to be both attractive and to stabilize the pond bank, the marsh plants and interior plants funtion as habitat and water filtration.
